We good, fellas.
Anyone questioning the Lemonis hire now?
Boys - Foxhall, Ginn, Gordon, and White are For Real
We are in good hands with Lemonis.
It's so weird not to have palpitations when I see someone from the bullpen coming out.
Cole Gordon is money right now. If he keeps this up, big for us to say the least.
I'm definitely happy for him and glad he is making the most of coming back. It makes you wonder about some other players that have left early that may have had a special senior year. I know Cole was not making a pro/no pro decision, but that 4th year is paying off anyway.
Y'all JT gutted this one out today. He tore the toenail off his right big toe Thursday and gutted it out today. Heckuva a competitor!
White is set up guy and is one inning. Gordon closer. Pretty set
Big dang win! Hail State!
Let this sink in: by the mid-late season we will have an option of Gordon, Self or Price (he is still working back into form). Plumlee is pitching like a legit Sunday starter...but he is our mid-week guy. $hi7 fellas, I've held out as long as I can, we've got the tools and depth to be special. Once the hitting Comes around watch out
My wool groweth
HUGE win for us! Texas Tech may be an Omaha/SR contender and we just beat them on a neutral site. Only real negative is the stolen bases although that was really one guy doing most of the damage there. Ginn is legit and not your normal freshman. As I've said- I want to see Colby White close. Once we get through this tournament and ECU on Mardi Gras then we have an easier stretch before we play Florida- I'd like to see us experiment with some things during that stretch. Gordon I want to be the long relief guy. If Cerentola develops by the end of the year- we could have three future first round picks in our rotation in one year- that's insane. Hopefully Self is working on another pitch and his location. I don't expect Price to pitch a lot because this is his recovery year. We'll see him in blowouts and against SWAC teams mostly. He could help us more in 2020. I think if we pushed Price too much he will hit a wall like Blake Smith did last year.
Again- I feel like I say this after every game but it's because it's true- I like how everyone on our offense seems to contribute. We're not being carried by one guy like Rooker did two years ago. It's guys up and down the lineup getting hits or doing something to help us win. We won this game with only one extra base hit- but the difference was we played errorless defense and they made three and we made them pay when they made an error. MSU played more small ball today because the game dictated it- and we were successful at it- Mangum had a stolen base, Halter bunted, etc. and that's the benefit of having a balanced lineup- because we're going to have games like this where it's low scoring against a good pitcher just like we're going to have high scoring games from time to time and we have a lineup that can mash as well.
Gotta another tough one against a better than their record Nebraska team to try to sweep this tournament.
