Very impressed with Joe’s recruiting of this class so far. I think it will be interesting to see what he does with a full recruiting calendar now.
We have jumped from 23rd to 19th in 247 composite today. And that is with only 4 of our 8 total recruits currently ranked.
Definetely like the start to this class. Speaking of good starts to 2020, check out LSU... they 9 commits (8 4-star, 1 5-star). Of the 9, 5 are OOS including the 5-star. O doing work

I think this had very little to do with our last class. What we should have done is focus more on in state prospects instead of chasing out of state 3 stars waiting for their in state schools to offer. And based on this current class it looks like we are doing just that. The biggest thing that hurt our ranking IMO was Charles Moore flaking out. At least from a recruiting rankings standpoint.Quote:

Thus, on paper we will have 24 4 & 5 star recruits on the roster next year, which will be a record for MSU since such records have existed.
We may not have Bama talent, but we are slowly adding enough talent to the roster to believe that with continued growth, at some point in the next 5-10 years, we'll have a team where mostly only 4 & 5 star recruits play in the game.

Jevon Banks is a Big LB could play MLB or OLB or he could continue to grow & play DE. He's a very solid player & he's also tight with Xavier Hill & Cameron Threatt, 2 guys we're on very hard. His brother was a P5 prospect (currently at Louisville) so his family has been through the recruitment process before. The family also has a high opinion of MSU. His sister graduated from MSU.Quote:
