Twenty hits should get you a sweep without playing the last two games.
Please forgive this stupid question. Why does Rooker have mud on the front of his batting helmet?
Gonna end up with 19. Guess we have to play those last two.
Get one more K Hudson.
Score, inning?
Hope we can get a series sweep just once this year. I know that's premature, but they look good tonight. And Missouri looks pretty bad.
Vandy down to last shot. aTm up 1-0 on unearned run in 1st
The official scorers need to change that earned run in the 2nd....... I can't believe that they didn't give an error.
aTm SS robbed vandy of leadoff hit
1 down
Haha!
Hudson gives up a hit with one out, and Johnson comes out to a smattering off boos. He's smiling the whole time and tells Hudson, "they're booing me".
Vandy with 2 outs now
Stinkin' Vandy needs to get it together and help us out.
That was some funny stuff when Wes went out to get Hudson.
aTm wins 1-0 on unearned run in 1st inning. Jeez
One more.
Johnny Balsamo!
C'mon Thor!
Ballgame.
Nice K to end it! Hail State!
We need to sweep this team.
Final 8-2.
Our main problem with becoming a national seed is RPI. If we dip below 14-15 it might not happen for us. On a recent D1 podcast they said something about the lowest last year being 13.
Mangum is on pace to be as good as we've had. And we have had a lot of very good outfielders
At 6'0 tall you have to think Mangum can add more weight to his 185lb frame. His potential to get stronger and start hitting more extra base hits is unfathonable.
But everyone pretty much acknowledges that we probably need to go 7-2 at worst in these final 3 SEC series to get a national seed...and if we do that, our RPI should stay about where it is. It's 11 right now. Our SOS will dip, but that should be countered by winning almost all the games we have left.
Fair comparison to mangum is Seth smith in his freshman year. Gonna be hard to duplicate the average he has this season but he's definitely setting himself up for an outstanding career at MSU.
