Good grief at the popups
In that situation it shows he doesn't have the confidence to drive in a run. It's not getting on in different ways. Leading off in 3rd maybe so. Not there.
Good grief, Gavin...top half of the ball son
4 straight popups = 2 outs. Geez
Attaboy Vick. Some stones
Vickerson is a player, boys
Come on detz
I mean what the hell goes through your head to put in Tatum and Shelly and not Lindgren or even Holder there. Most important point we will see and we go from 2 to 5 with pitchers who haven't seen the mound ever.
Good gracious, just got in from lunch and turned the game on and its freakin' 5-0? I'm actually starting to get pissed at this baseball team. Can someone tell me briefly how they got 5 runs?? Hits, errors, walks??
My biggest concern today is that we don't play for the big inning - we play to scratch some runs across down 5-1 in the 6th and now Rea will be leading the next inning just worries me about this game.
Hopefully we can 1 or 2 across next inning and make it a 2 run game going to the stretch.
Damn at some point we have to find out who can go to the mound and compete besides Mitchell, Gentry, or Cox. Even if we don't have anyone out there we don't know unless we run them out there and see if they will compete. I know you are pissed about Lingo but you know it has to be done.
Lingo. K's and grounders. Same GB% as Graveman last year. 1st round pick.
Back of Cohens pen on day 4.
I see a problem there.
Tell me how it is different? Their record heading into the SEC was 13-5 and they were preseason #1 in some polls last year. After this game if we don't come back, we will be. 4-4. We are setting ourselves up to not host with how we are playing right now and there is even precedence from last year.
Looking like WJ again is right. Been saying it all offseason that Lingo is our best and a 1st rounder.
Wish lindgren had gotten in this game while it was close
Popup after popup. We are offensively challenged. Sec pitching is gonna tear us up
If there is any positive from today, we don't have any errors in the field thus far. I'd bench Britton for Humphreys, but other than that- this is probably our best lineup right now.
Dakota pitched pretty well- but Tatum and I feel bad for saying this since it appears as if he is hurt- and Shelly didn't pitch well at all. I'm pretty sure Shelly is done and Tatum is going to be a LOOGY.
It really sucks for us that the Hofstra series got cancelled because that was our time to play guys like Tatum and Shelly. Now, I feel like we are kind of forcing them out there to see what they can do.
What is really sucking in this game is our leaders aren't even doing well at the plate. Pirtle with a strikeout.
As much as I agree that Lindgren should have come in earlier - we have 5 ****ing hits today. F-I-V-E in six innings against Holy Cross' 4th best starter. Someone can correct me, but it doesn't seem we are hitting them hard either.
We just had two strikeouts and a pop up through the heart of our lineup.
I agree but you can't worry about that right now. Got to find guys that are going to compete. Right now we are finding those that aren't. SOMEBODY, preferably a veteran needs to light a fire under the veterans on this team. Our approach is lackadaisical and shitty to watch.
Opposing pitchers just have to throw strikes and don't let rea hurt them. If teams follow that formula, we will struggle big time
Wow another error...
Another Hann misplayed ball. It's Heck time bad.
Hann doesn't have an elite arm which you have to have at SS. Lollipop city
Another ****ing error by our SS? I mean, we are missing Frazier's defense tremendously. Just silly at this point.
Got to hold runners better.
Because he has experimented with our lineup so much, we don't have consistent hitting from some of the young guys he doesn't play much. The way he has done Humphries I would not be surprised if he struggles a lot this year. I wouldn't have a lot of confidence if I was him. Britton playing third is just laughable. Frost was much better at third then Britton.
