They were but the ball needs to be in 12’s hands there. 32 seconds and down by 1, you let your guy go make a play. Obviously inexcusable misses from Kugel but 12 has to have the ball there for one shot.
Also the loose ball foul call on Hubbard was utter bullshit. The guy did not have possession of the ball
Team just doesnt have enough true talent. It?s all pieced together to be competitive, but it kills when the role players are ghosts every other game.
8-10 for 3 straight years
They made the two calls of the game. First off overturning the out of bounds, which there was not enough evidence to overturn and then the bullshit loose ball foul on Hubbard when the oaf did not have possession of the ball. Those 3 ass clowns made sure they decided the game tonight.
lol. We really were a very good, top 10 team 2 months ago. I have no clue what happened but this year reflects really poorly on Jans, from a pure coaching ability standpoint. He took a team that had real potential and whatever buttons he pushed this year were the wrong ones.
I get it, yes we had a great year for MSU Mens BBall for our history and anytime you go to tourney it is a successful year and from the outside yeah cool. But for those of us that follow closely, we know Jans took lemons and made lemonade but the lemonade tasted like sh it
We may quite possibly be the most confusing team in the SEC.
We are tied with South Carolina for the fewest home wins yet only Auburn and Alabama have more road wins than us.
I?m just ready for the season to be over tbh. Go hit the portal. Bring in some bruisers down low, a bunch of shooters and a pg. and make sure they arent scared of winning
I would not have said that until after the game tonight. It is just draining watching us constantly get careered on. Tonight it is Mark. Against Bama it is Youngblood. Against Kentucky it is Robinson. Against Mizzou it was Grill. Saturday it will probably be Brazile or Wagner. Youngblood is literally 22-65 against everyone else and 14-24 against us.
We need to bring in some damn defensive stoppers. Cam Matthews is about as good at offense as he is defense these days and that says something. Jones, Harris, and Kugel may be our best defenders at this point.
This was my last melt over MBK this season. I'm sitting Saturday out, hoping for 1 in Nashville, and 1 in tourney. Maybe we get that done, but if not, oh well.
Josh is staying
I would expect Kugel stays
Murphy will stay
Nwoko will stay
Jones will stay
I would expect Warren transfers.
We need to go find a true PG or bring someone in to show Josh how to be a true PG. The problem we have is that Josh is a 2 guard in a small PG body.
I see some of our fans are just happy because it looks like State will make the NC-2A tourney. In what other sport is being a Top 68 team considered successful? Football? Baseball? Soccer? Tennis? Golf? Track&Field? Yachting? Crew? Skull? Rowing? Bowling? Skeet? Swimming & Diving? Badminton? Curling?
Only in Basketball. 😖
Blaming officiating has become a consistent defense mechanism for our fans across all sports. Things start going bad, and that's when the comments about officiating start ramping up. It doesn't really matter if you're right about a call here or a call there being blown by the officials. What matters is that we aren't good enough to overcome them against a mediocre team on our own home court. We allow officials to impact the game by playing poorly against an opponent who we should have put away in regulation.
how many of the incoming 25 high school signees are expected to contribute?
