Its ALWAYS something with this men's team. I think that may be the last game I sit and watch. They just aren't worth the emotional investment. Can't believe in a game so big they came out and played like literal crap for the first 10 minutes of the game. We were down 26-13 and spent the rest of the game trying to dig out of the hole. I'm just tired of it.
Do not lump the women's and men's teams together that's just plain ignorant. The women have played for 2 national championships.
Well, I gave up after reading the second post in this thread....saw where we we going to get blown out. It's just a shame that if we only would get another coach, eliminate all missed shots and bad plays, and have competent refs, we would be undefeated and on our way to winning it all. Such is the life of a MSU fan.
I am not sure why we came out so flat. We have no offense at all; just dribble pass around the horn and jack up a shot. We just didn't attack like we have. We didn't do that the past three games where we played well. This was on the road and this team has not figured out how to play on the road.
We are better since Spoon came back. He played OK today, would have liked to see him drive dish or score early in game when we were struggling. Perry got called for BS 3rd foul that took him out of game and got him a T.
Next couple games are key, lose and we could tank. We have really dug a hole for making the tourney now. NIT bound unless we go on a run.
Last possession with NW running Point was absolutely horrible. His selfishness was on full display like it always is in crucial situations. He wants to be THE MAN rather than helping his team get better and get the win.
Of all the things to bitch about that isn't what I saw at all. There was no play drawn up, no one moving to get open and under 10 seconds by the time he got in the front court. Is he supposed to just do one of those force passes and risk a turnover to someone who may or may not know what to do when they get the ball?
If anything it's on Howland for not having an offensive identity so guys are constantly just standing around.
