It’s timing. Unfortunately we don’t play 162. Slumping in college ball can last half a season. Can’t afford it.

You know, sometimes a guy in a slump is hitting some balls hard but can't get one to fall. However, that's not the case with Rowdey. He's not coming close to hitting anything hard and that's whats concerning.

That's why he needs a break. Most people saying he should stay in probably haven't watched him hit much until today to see just how bad it is.

I'm referring to the mental aspect and approach. A guy that has started his whole career getting benched absolutely kills any shred of confidence that might be left.

He's a sophomore not a 4th year senior. If he's that mentally weak he should be benched anyway. He's not that mentally weak though. And same question. Tell me how he's hurt more mentally than he is now if he takes a game off?

Coaches do what's best for the team and to hell with mentality. Rowdey at this current moment does not give us the best chance to win. Best chance is Jones at DH and someone other than Rowdey in LF.
