Wagyu is a breed of cow, the most famous of which are raised in the Kobe Region of Japan.
Edit: also, likely 99.9% of the places you've seen "Kobe beef", whether in burger form or other, on a menu was just Wagyu from another location. Still great stuff, bot not Kobe. Beef from Kobe is rarely exported (typically to top shelf restaurants), and you'll certainly never find it on a menu for $12.99 (e.g., the 'Kobe burger' at Veranda, Starkville).
Fried catfish Friday, Ribs Saturday and Brisket Sunday. Silver bullets all throughout
I wish those burgers would wagyu into my mouth, I am so hungry

Been smoking a beef brisket from Brooksville since 2. I've had it frozen for a year been too intimidated to try it. Novice on the grill but I've gotten pretty decent with steaks & rib racks so I guess this is the next step. Moment of truth coming at Twenty hundred hours.
Chicken and corn turned out great. Also roasted some fresh peas we got from the farmers market this weekend (with bacon and fresh mint). Also baked some bread; I've been trying to get better at baking, and luckily this one was successful (folded in some fresh chopped rosemary, as well as a couple garlic cloves, finely diced).

Sorry to trailer-park the thread up.....Hand made brats (by SapperDawg and myself), from South MS sourced wild hog with grilled red onion. Oh, and a side of Funyuns and Flamin' Hot Cheetos...White cans..etc. Happy Independence Day, Dawgs. Cheers.
Edit: Oh and a few pints of Curlew's Porter from Chandeleur. Best damned Porter I've had.

Homemade Hooter's Wangs and freshly shelled green butter beans
Aight. Had to a take a couple days off but tonight I laid down some bacon wrapped elk steaks, baby back ribs, and twice baked potatoes. Had a couple Coronas while it was all coming together.
