One positive: We're showing a lot of plate discipline this inning. We'd have been hacking and giving them free outs in years past. Now we're taking the walk and getting runs.
Back to back walks
10-5
And that'll do it for SDSU's pitcher. Another bases loaded walk to Collins, Dawgs expand the lead. 10-5 good guys.
The new pitcher just walked out of the stands I think***
So these guys...... Suck
WTF was Rooker thinking?!
If we had this approach with the freshman pitcher from Florida Atlantic yesterday, the result would have been much much different. We bailed that ****er out way too much by swinging and making contact on pitches you couldn't do much with even if you made good contact. Those pitches you have to lay off and if they call them strikes so be it.
Gridley grounds to 3B, Hump forced out at 2B.
11-5 Dawgs after 3.
FYI, teams have agreed to a 10-runs after 7 mercy rule. Keep that in mind moving forward, this could end early.
Houston is wild
IMO if we were to pitch houston against FAU they would have smoked us again. I dont know what to think of our starting pitching right now.
Two mean reach with two outs and Houston is done. Blake Smith taking the hill.
If SDSU hits Houston this hard, I can't imagine how LSU and Florida will send those 99 mph fastballs out of the yard and into the gaps. Heat is nothing if it's flat heat....D1 college kids can hit 99 mph with no movement and no control
