Total brain fart by the SS. Even if you don't turn the double play, it's 1st and third with 2 outs. The runner going to 3rd meant nothing.

Dave Stapleton lives here in Fairhope. Have always wanted to ask him what he thought about McNamara not subbing him in as a defensive replacement for Buckner. I worked in Midtown and went to quite a few Mets games at Shea that season.Quote:
