What a disaster, there is no spinning this
Maybe it was a perfect storm but unless we hold onto Emerson we basically didn't win any battles in the last few months. Assuming we get Duncan, but not really sure who we were up against hard for him. I also think Pickering was locked in so I didn't consider him a "battle" late to win.
I'll make this statement because I'm not gonna stick around for the melt & complaining. Im not running or hiding it's the internet. I'm in too good of a mood this morning. We missed a great chance this class to really make a mark. This class isn't a failure or bust but it's definitely not the big class we wanted or more importantly needed. This is recruiting it's not for the weak. I'll be disappointed today but tomorrow I'll be right back looking at 2020 guys. Recruiting is my passion not my life so I won't be losing my mind over it (Sorry Shotgun). People have every right to be disappointed. I said wait til the end & if the class isn't up to par by all means go off. Well go off guys. Later!
Hopefully Joe is on the phone with Lawrence.....man this sucks
Time to adjust expectations, guys. Just be happy with 6-7 wins. I'm done getting my hopes up on anything to do with football. At least the sunshine crew won't ever have to get mad at me again, because I'm done caring enough to complain.
Underwhelming 2018 season and a very underwhelming recruiting season AND ticket prices went up!

We were naive to think OM would allow us to flip a recruit.
I just don't see it that way....Moorhead just wasn't able to make a case that he could advance the careers of many of the kids he was recruiting. Moorhead had the best defense in the country and went 8-5......facts......and his recruiting class reflects that mediocrity
Dan "Country Club" Mullen with a top 10 class and Moorhead struggling... maybe it's time to look in the mirror folks. Starkville is 17'n difficult place to recruit.
What about baseball and both basketball programs? Or tennis and track. They don?t seem to have a Starkville problem
I'm right there with you. The decisions of 18 year old kids should not affect people like this, me included. It's time to accept the fact that MSU is a solid 7-8 win program that will never finish top 10 in recruiting or win a NC. It's just the way it is. And that's okay. We can still enjoy ourselves and cheer the the dogs. On to baseball season.
