My criticism of him is the same as it was when we were rolling. We are dead last in OBP and walks in sec. You will not have hits fall all the time, but the ability to work counts helps you reach in hard times. We don't have that

No. Baseball is such a crazy sport sometimes. Bat's going cold, plus really good pitching by OSU, and a little bad luck have been our undoing offensively.

We were doing great hitting against elite competition until the CWS. While I don't expect to score the 12 runs like we did against UNC, I certainly would expect way more than 1 or 2 runs.

Cole Gordon has to come back next year. He's turned a corner and is shutting down the best hitting team in the country

Not for me. I think a couple of guys have hit a wall. And we've gone cold which happens in the ebb and flow of a season. Just bad timing but if we weren't hot we wouldn't be playing tonite. He done miracles with this group.

Which is why I said slightly. We've just had bad approaches in the CWS and some of that goes to Gautreau

Yep. Cole has come in and continued to shut teams down. He has given us a chance here. 9, 1, And 2 up need to do something here.
