You're probably right, but why would he state he was making a "big" announcement? He is already committed to LSU and made a "shutting down my recruitment" tweet stating that he was staying with LSU after the coaching change. Just wondering if there is anything here or is the really about getting some attention.

I asked lsu recruiting board on tiger droppings. If he's being dropped, they have no idea. Only guess they had was announcing jersey number.

That hardly qualifies as a "big" announcement, but I guess that kind of stuff is a big deal to these kids.

Carty CB'd to South Carolina again. They get last visit. Gotta figure if carty doesn't commit to us before that visit, we lose out again

The second I saw that I knew you'd have a post about it. The 2 USCe guys say they get him, the 2 MSU guys say we do. I guess we will see who's right soon. No need to freak out every day.

The CBs don't bother near as much as South Carolina getting the last visit. Boom is one hell of a recruiter and I don't like him getting the last sales pitch. Perhaps there's nothing to worry about; but like I said, if carty is uncommitted going to South Carolina on last weekend, I think they get him. You don't find it interesting that coming off an OV to us that they feel they get him? Seems carty would still be on his "high" for us coming off an OV here

We seem to be very "business-like" with our OVs. Seldom do I get the feeling that one of our recruits is on a "high" after visiting at least not like you hear after some recruits visit other schools that seem to do more of the "wine and dine" thing. Isn't Carty the one that was reported to have committed on his visit and then backed off? That is a sort of a bad sign to me, but I'm usually pessimistic anyway.

Yeah, that was him. I thought it was a good sign; but now that I think it, I don't think that has ever worked out for us. Hopefully we can get Carty though.

Is Rhodes still expected to visit this weekend?

C66 on sps says lsu close to flipping Josh Clarke (lb) from om. C66 says he thinks that's indication that lsu isn't feeling so good about gay

Same guy (Donahue) predicted Jacob Phillips to flip to lsu from Oklahoma. That would be quite a pull for lsu to get both. Donahue is from bleacher report though, so who knows if he's a good source or not

SC is mopping up the floor with us on OL recruits, which is asinine considering the disparity between the two offenses and with Key coming in. How embarrassing.

Rosie confirmed on his show yesterday what many have been saying that LSU is chasing a lot of linebackers for couple of spots. I think we will get Willie anyway but hopefully they will get a commit or 2 soon and lessen the anxiety.

show 0 special teams players. Not sure why Tucker Day isn't counted there. I was hoping that with the Rebs being stymied that we might be able to finish in the top 20 but not sure that's going to happen. If we don't get Gay no way it happens.

Gay CB'd to lsu again. It's now 43% each, but we haven't gotten any lately. We seem to be the only ones thinking he comes here

Louisville thinks they flip Odom. This would be disappointing. We took Buckley and grantham from them and they seem to cleaning our clock recruiting wise in return

Gonna need a definition of "cleaning our clock". I only see speculation so far.

We are absolutely horrible in recruiting. If we lose a DL from Jackson to Sirmon, someone should removed at once.

Definetly an exaggeration on my part, but they seem to be on the cusp of getting 3 players I really wanted in toryque bateman, Avery, and Odom. Hopefully this is just a premature, unwarranted melt ... I'll try to man up (haha)

Think we could get him? Says he has a Baylor and OM offer. Not sure if those are real though bc no visits scheduled

Paul Jones CB'd reed to flip to OM.

Seems things are kinda trending down for us at the moment. I will say that leading up to juco signing day things seemed to be falling apart, but we really did well in the end. Hopefully our coaches can finish strong these last 2 weeks again.
