I thought this class was supposed to be 30+ players? what happened?
Less attrition than thought but it was the surprise mid year signees of Abram, Cole and Rivers that has also changed our board. Depending on who signs it will probably be around 26-28 players signing. Someone very connected correct me on those numbers if I'm off.
Oliver just decommitted.
It seems to be that if we're gonna run a 3-4, LBs should be more of a priority. We have 2 commits if you consider sweat an olb. How many LBs are still on the board?
We need to get more quality than just quantity..
Ari or IYOK, y'all care to give us your best guesses on who we finish out the class with and how confident you feel with each? I know y'all have stated earlier in the thread some ideas, but with recommits and some targets committing elsewhere I wanted to see if y'all had any updates.
Erroll was an absolute animal in high school.
It does suck to lose a guy as promising as Oliver, though. I think he could be very solid in a couple of years. I suppose this class could still finish top 25, if we land Gay.
Well I was wrong about Odom, his tweets were very leading, though.
Ari is right, however, that we need quality depth. Shouldn't offer guys just to fill spots. We have the lead on the top LB in the state next year in Will Robinson from Hattiesburg.
Speaking of Hattiesburg, Ari/IYOK what are your guys thoughts on us passing Jordan Murphy? Also any shot at Fabian Franklin or Jarveon Howard?
Keep an eye on the LSU LB board. I personally think we are fine, but I keep hearing that LSU is slow playing him while going after Phillips and Ellis.
I think we end up getting some good news on signing day (assuming he waits that long), but after last year's finish I'm still suffering from PTSDD. (Post Traumatic Signing Day Disorder)
"We have the lead"
I'm not even sure what that means anymore, concerning MSU football.
Has Thompson lost some weight and reshaped his body any since he's been here ala Leo Lewis?
So a 4* west coast DB is visiting us next weekend..... let's see if it happens.
Yep, the guy I mentioned last week that Buckley was flying out to see if he could get him to visit.

Carty CB'd to South Carolina.
Just read this from USC's 247 site:
-South Carolina is going to try to sign two more offensive linemen in this class, but they aren’t just going to take a player to take one. Jordon Carty out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is an option, but I hear his grades are an issue and then one more if they find one more they like. That being said, those types of situations can change and Carty has big enough upside to where he may be a sign-and-place candidate.
I didn't know grades were a problem. Great
Carty is expected to qualify.
Again 1 blogger from South Carolina CB him to South Carolina. This weekend everyone associated with South Carolina 247 site CB Rhodes. Same with everyone associated with UNC 247 & Tucker. Now if those guys start CB Carty to South Carolina then I'll start paying more attention. That's a trend this is 1 guy with a blog. We'll see where it goes from here.
Anyone have any insight as to what Shaadiq Charles' tweet is about?
I see where 247 shows on their timeline that the CB from Cali is visiting us and USC on the same weekend. I'm no recruiting expert, but I'll go out on a limb and say visiting both on the same weekend won't happen.
We seems to end up competing with SC for OL lately. Any idea why they seem to be getting the better end hisbyear. We had the guy we were set to steal from them last year until LSU made a signing day offer. That one still stings
