Rex was right. Should've thrown Bednar. Oh but the naysayers will say "how do you know he would've repeated that performance". Well, you don't but Madden damn sure repeated his. Even if we were to win tomorrow night our chances of winning a n/c are low. Oh, but we have a ton of elite, power arms, right?

Agree this is one thing that could not happen but has.

Assuming we win tomorrow which I do.... you have Mac and then Hootie and Bednar on 3 days rest.

I think you hope Mac finds something deep in him and we steal a win vs Vandy's #3.

Do you then think about starting PJ Game 2 and going right to Sims?

I swear PJ used to sit at 94, B smith used to sit 93, and Stinnett used to sometimes hit 96. They all seem slower now than then.

Fact is this staff is 1 good starter (who's had his share of bad starts), 1 elite reliever, and nobody else is really above average. Like we can piece together a good 7 inning stretch with the pen but it's using a ton of guys who barely make it out of innings, we don't have a guy to go 4-5 like everyone else seems too. There's no Mitchell or Girodo, only Sims who's shaky after 3

We?ve all said it but it doesn?t matter how many good arms we have if we keep hitting like the have against Texas and for most of the game against Virginia. You don?t consistently beat teams at this stage of the year without hitting halfway consistently, or at least having competitive at bats.
