I will find my optimism in an hour. Right now having flashbacks to every moment being a State fan has sucked these last 35 years since my Freshman year. 1-0, really?

He needs to light a fire under this team and chew these guys out. They looked like they didn't give a shit at the plate and their approach at the plate was complete shit. Free swinging batters with a pitcher early struggling for control. The kid should have been out of the game by the second inning. Instead we strand four batters and let him settle in. Was all on our offense and Reid Humphrey's defense in left field. I wouldn't start Humphreys in the outfield the rest of the series.
Put up or shutup tomorrow. See what the team is made of.
Can someone tell me why our hitters aren't looking fastball? We let so many fastball strikes go, only to swing at pure shit. When it's 1-1, how do u let a fastball down the middle go by? What are we teaching them in that spot? That fastball should be drilled.
I don't think we'll get shutout. I think we'll win tomorrow and be up 1-0 on Sunday with Houston throwing a no-hitter thru 7. Top of the 8th, the power will go out and we'll bring Tatum in after a 1 hour delay and walk 5 in a row to lose 2-1. Yeah, I'm depressed
Not really though... I think we get this to Sunday
Let's just play better and win tomorrow. No need to worry yet about winning two in a row. Win tomorrow and and the pressure will be on them.
Please show me the evidence that this team is mentally weak. Good gosh, people.
Our hitting was shit tonight. It was not because of their pitcher. People in this thread we're guessing his pitches so he wasn't mixing them up well. We just didn't adjust and were free swinging. We would free swing on balls out of the zone and get down 0-2. Our approach tonight was shit. Case in point they put in their reliever who all he had to do was throw three pitches for a strike out.
