re: the red, I didn't know there was an automatic red card rule. It looked very weak to someone like me who only watches soccer every 4 years, but I understand the need for automatic rules to prevent injury. I'm sure some of the penalties for touching a QB's head look stupid to the untrained eye too.
It's similar to the Tom Brady rule about going low on a qb even if you barely touch them in a way. If that helps. It's one of those ways that can easily tear a ligament, so it's automatic. Same as a head butt or punch. Automatic red no matter the contactQuote:
