Just going by my gut feelings I'm getting from our current commits, Ari's and IFYOK's comments, would I be overly wooly saying we have a chance at a top 15 crootin' class if things end up materializing the way they could? based on all the "warm" offers we currently have and the positive comments about these "warm" offers on the table?
Jack Harris on commitment watch this weekend.
IYOK and Ari, thanks for the good work here.
Jaren Handy and Byron Young. I know we're in the game with both but what are things looking like with these two? This d-line class is DEEP so we'll get our fair share I imagine
Handy ain’t happening. Young either unless LSU passes on him.
Pruitt gonna screw this up not MSU. We've been waiting on Pruitt for months we won't wait forever. He says he wants to be at MSU & MSU leads but he hasn't committed. If he's not committed by the end of the summer I think he gets left out. This is coming from someone who loves Kyziah but he's not Jeffrey Simmons he can't wait forever.
we've never had a Randy Moss--how do you know how good He is, have you seen Him Play? Noxubee doesn't -play chumps. He put up his numbers as a Junior against on of the toughest schedules in Miss. plus he wasn't the only big player on the team. 5 Tds in a playoff game -did Randy do that as a Junior--maybe?
Comparing Pruitt to Randy Moss is a freaking joke. He's not even the best WR in MS. Great athlete though. And we aren't screwing up anything, he is....
Good to hear Commerce. I like Byron's mug shot on 247. I like to see these young guys smile and look like their enjoying life and stuff. I know you can't judge a book by it's cover but he just looks like a good guy. And DAMN he's big.
I'll never forget when I was bragging to my black buddy / co-worker on our 2012 class and he was going thru it and saw Quay Evans' pic. He looked at me and said "y'all need to worry about this dude". I laughed my ass off. I can't find the pic that he was looking at but Quay looked like total shit. The one on 247 you see ain't that bad. But the one my buddy was looking at that day I think was from a MSU website or something. I would love to see that pic of Quay again. Would bring back a LOL moment.
Pruitt will be a good slot WR in college. Jameon Lewis type.
The offense he plays in at Noxubee doesnt really help him either. He does need to get in the boat bc I dont see a lot of big other P5 offers coming bc of his size.
He's enjoying the process though I imagine. Let him be a kid. He will be a dawg. We do well with Noxubee kids
Maybe off topic but who is the kid from Mississippi that ran a 4.1/4.2 at a camp this last weekend? I saw his last name was Harrison but that's about it.
Was it Hargrove JWS said couldn't get caught in a phone booth? that was funny shit but I sure as shit got tired of hearing said shit.
Reguarding the WR situation and spots
I don’t think we take 4 unless we miss on some other guys at other sports
Saying that Pruitt needs to go ahead and get on board. I think its first 3 in get the spots.
And if that’s Torbor, Scurry, and Watkins then I’m 100% fine with that
he is up to 6'1" bout 200 lbs-4.34---why would you pick Moss who has nothing to do with MSU. have you seen Him play?--take a look

I like Kyziah a whole lot but waiting does seem to make any sense. By all accounts he wants to be at MSU & likes MSU. He doesn't have any other P5 offers so why wait? Does he plan to go to other schools to try to earn offers this summer? If so there's nothing wrong with that just know that the MSU coaches won't keep his spot forever. He has time but just know that time is running out.
I think Will prosser might have been the leading receiver one year when Omar was QB and had like under 400 yards for the season. Never like to pile on players like Henig and Prosser because they did what they were asked and were the best option we had, and if that's not good enough, that's not their fault. But I'm not sure Peyton Manning in the prime of his NFL career could have done a lot in the SEC with Prosser as the best wider receiver on the team. Even if somebody came in and "threw the receiver open", I'm not sure our WRs could have semi-consistently caught balls with pressure on them.
Coach Huff and this staff doing work...
oh what a weekend it may be
This thread is 60 pages long, and really nothing has happened in the past month. Ready for recruiting to pick back up again.
It's common knowledge that the vast majority of players pick up two or three tenths (or more - looking at you Bear Wilson) between high school and the higher levels, because the clocking equipment gets more precise and high school coaches and camps are trying to sell their players. I'm not saying Pruitt's isn't accurate, but there are VERY few true sub-4.4 guys nationwide. And while you're right that you probably can't tell with the naked eye, there is a world of difference between a 4.3 athlete and a 4.5 athlete.
