Friend makes Hev look like a Hall of Fame coach.
Since we have some boosters with their boys on this board, looking at RoseBowl34, we ought to see if Geoff Collins can at least come in to mentor Brock as an ?analyst??hell maybe even Hev too

Can you clarify? The guys that were fired off of Leach's staff were the ones that brought in four star receivers and QB's- and all of those QB's except for Parson were promptly run off.
Everyone is in agreement that the offense is better than the defense so are you saying that Arnett's staff screwed us over?
Our offense is basically the same as last year. Our defense is one of the worst ever.
He's saying we have a huge gap in talent on the defensive side because CML only cared about the 4* WRs and QBs. He was the head coach and his job to make sure we were good in all facets, not just offense. Granted, that's never been CML's M.O., and he was good enough to overcome it most years, but he too would be struggling this year with this defense.

This year after yesterday:

I removed our fumble recovery TD and extra point. That puts us at 29
We had 6 defensive and special teams TD's last season. Remove them and give that total average.
I didn't add shit in, the site has all points on its total. But any other time you want to count all the games. Got it.
Without the East TN game last year and removing defensive and ST scores from last year, we averaged 26.75 per game. Almost identical as what we are averaging right now, 26.6. Doesn't that scare your mind into making you think, hey I've defended last years offense because it's so good but I think this years is so bad but they have nearly the same production...maybe I am AR brainwashed.
We still have a long way to go for our offense to be good, but it's similar to last years in actual points production so far.
A week ago you said once we play Western Michigan our TOP will increase and our other stats. We bumped just a little.
We are still 113 in the nation in TOP..... the excuse Arnett said he was changing his offense.
We did increase by about 3 PPG after Saturday, but now you are about to hit the SEC games going forward. So you are comparing this point to all of last season...for perspective.
So Leach won 9 games last year, had double the TOP rankings improvement than this year, and we also scored within reason of the same PPG this season so far.
That TOP the last 2 seasons really helped Arnett with his defense not getting exposed any more than he had to.
Basically we are not anything significantly better on offense this season, and actually worse in controlling the time of possession (helping our weaker defense).
A group in the Bryan building and boosters just like this more, and wanted to nuke the old system.
And out of that campaign to nuke the other system, we promoted the DC to HC, who has really screwed up our defense.
We could have kept the offensive guys, and replaced the defensive coaches, but ....
That is the MSU way ***
Maybe but we were told that year 3 was the year it would take off as well. Year 3 didn't. Our best WR this year wasn't being utilized properly the previous years either. JRob being banged up hurts our outside. Zavion is fast...that's about it. Walley still drops passes with the previous staff and now. I thought Roberson and Moseley would have a bigger impact than they have. It's a hypothetical, we will never know.
