The good news I guess is if Vandy comes back with Rocker Friday and Leiter Saturday, even to use them just on Tuesday and Wednesday of the championship series they would be on really short rest. Not sure how long they could go.

That makes me sick. I can't stomach getting to the NC series and losing to Vandy. I can stomach losing to anyone else, but it would be just our luck to get all the way there and have to play Vandy.
If they pitch Rocker Friday and leiter Saturday considering they win, they?ll pitch that freshman game 1 I bet with rocker coming back Tuesday to seal the deal and Leiter on Wednesday just in case. I mean yeah it is short rest but we all know how Corbin likes to abuse his pitchers
Maybe they burn NC State's best pitcher Saturday and NC State wins, and we get a NC State staff without their Ace? One can dream. Does Nc State have a hoss or two, or what's their pitching like?
Vandy has needed some lucky shit to win their 2 games.
Dang guys y'all act like Vandy is invincible well they're not. I'll take our team against any of the one left.
Definitely know we can beat them, but mentally you know it gets in college kids heads since they've had to hear all year how Rocker and Leiter are going 1 and 2 in the draft. Maybe it motivates our guys...I just know I'd rather play a team with less MLB arms.
Exactly. And it's not just Rocker and Leiter, either. They've got tons of talent. We just struggled for 7 innings with a guy who was 0-5 on the season, but he had a live arm; Vandy has lots of guys like that, plus the pedigree of having been there before and won it all. I really don't want anything to do with that.
This is the hard thing and why I wanted Stanford to win. Vandy is still really tough to beat with Rocker and Leiter even on short rest and on the other hand you have NC State making a coastal Carolina run. Either face MLB arms or a destiny team? Which one would you rather face?
Now I know we have made a run as well and need to continue our hot streak on Friday, but I would have felt better if it was NC State/Stanford winner
Some of you guys have not been paying attention. If we face vandy for the NC, we will drag our nutsacks across them. There is no way they beat us 2 out of 3 again. We are better than we were last time and there is no way our guys will be scared. No way. You guys should have seen that by now.

Rex is much like that NCAA commercial where they say “most of our athletes go pro in something other than sports.” That even implies that he has the knowledge of an athlete. Based on his “knowledge” of pitching that might have been a reach also. Only a fool or a fan that is a seasonal fan of a sport would make the remarks about pitching and rest that he is. Maybe he became a pro Troll. Because it sounds like he may be the best in the business, the ACE of the staff that is.
I wonder if Stanford has a program that help the baseball team give full rides like Vandy?
Again, I want you to read this extremely slow… you ready… Mississippi State is not in the same boat as Vandy or any of your hair brained examples…… let me put this another way… We are NOT in a win or go home situation…. Let me try this one….. Stanford just threw their ace on 3 days rest for 2.6 innings, yes he did great for 2 in innings, then velocity dropped by 4 mph and lost command. I do believe I directly addressed this in another thread with you. Yes you can bring them back on short rest but a guy that is normally 95 mph for 6 innings will now be 91 and flat and on average be good for 2-3 innings and you have now made it where he can’t be 100 percent again in this tournament….. for the life of me I can not understand why you can’t wrap your mind around this simple concept.
Our Coaches will do the right thing. We will see Hardy Friday and I like our chances to win and going into the Championship series Monday against NC State. We haven't over pitched anyone so far except Sims did come in to get finally 4 outs. The thing is we just need to get rolling at the plate, score runs and let's win this thing! The end.
