Disappointing home stretch of the season. After beating #1 LSU, we peaked at 30-10 and seemed to crash. I hate it for our seniors but the future is bright. Good season overall. Hail State!!!
And this was a rebuilding year.
As a program, we haven't had a winning SEC record since 2001**. Do you think we finally get over that hump in 2016?
**--But we've made Regionals 11 times since then.
Well, it was a good spring season in the world of Lady Dawg sports, they definitely carried the banner. It was supposed to be re-building season for softball, so they achieved a little more than expected. They got definite pitching help on the way and there is lumber coming in with new signees as well. So maybe they play their way to hosting a regional in what should be "the class of the conference" new stadium.
Women's golf tailed off at the end but overall had very nice year, fell a little short of expectations, but with Chieh Jessica Peng coming back and some top notch signees on their way should look for improvement in the post season ( by the way Peng is pretty far ahead of where Ally was as a sophomore, two of the signees are probable immediate impact players ).
For those who follow volleyball, the new Coach and staff have taken the recruiting to a whole another level already and from the spring observations, they can say goodbye to being cellar dwellers. The new VB coach and staff are the real deal.
Hopefully, the baseball team has gotten all of the crap cleared from the system and will come back with some different mojo and good karma next year.
Well it is summer now as far as MSU athletics are concerned ( a little track and field yet to compete ). Hoping for a productive and safe off-season for all of our athletes and that the 2015-16 season is the best ever, should be!
These umps at Lafayette are still sucking. Fix Is in for the home team
