Get two here
He has to learn to adapt the umpires zone.
Attaboy. Nut up.
Big K there. If you can get out of this inning unscathed or only giving up 1, I would save Mitchell.
And nothing but fastballs. Still need to leave him in and see if he can get 2. Got to see if he can pitch out of trouble early in the season.
Well nevermind. Ross threw his 2 warmup pitches so he's ready.
Maybe they just use him for this one DP and not waste him Bc he wasn't in pen long at all. If he does leave him the next inning Don't be surprised to see Ross get hit hard in this game. I hope not. But he doesn't do as well following a guy throwing mid 80s. If they get the DP here look for that to be it for Ross.
Lol Ross looks like he should be standing at an intersection holding a sign that says will work for food.
If they are smart that will be it for Ross
Lol he's such a jackass
Well, Ross Mitchell is a big stud.
Well looks like Ross won't be starting Game 3.
That's not why I didn't want it to be Ross. He obviously has even more impact coming in after a guy throwing hard, but that only lasts for a while. He's still a stud when he starts and goes the full game.
He's effective because he changes speeds and locates, not just because he's a change of pace.
Cody hustles man. I love that.
I'm not big on giving up an out to get a guy to third when he is already in scoring position at 2nd.
Terrible bunt technique but great veteran AB by Vick. Nice job.
That's a real bad pitching job there. Two on, none out.
Don't like Vickerson bunting there after a HR. Or Walker here. Come on lets bust it open. New balls. Wind blowing out.
I'm more ok doing it with guys at 1st and 2nd than just the guy at 2nd.
ETA: I'm ok with it if you can get it down. These are some terrible attempts.
Sac fly, good baserunning by both guys. Runners at 2nd and 3rd, 1 out for the top of the order.
wow- how did he tag on that short ass fly? Awesome speed
Heck K looking. Need Holland to come through and get something out of this.
Damn swing the bat
Why would they push for a bigger strike zone to 'equalize' the change in the balls when they changed the balls purposefully to equalize things to begin with?
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Going to be a tough year on hitters if breaking balls that are shoulder high crossing the plate are going to be strikes.
Awful play by Brown. The guy was standing on 1st, and Walker wasn't close to the bag. What is the benefit of that?
Nasty curves freeze Heck & Holland
Glad the State Farm logo is gone but we need a Mississippi State logo or something behind home plate. Looks too plain right now imo.
Interesting pitches to a guy struggling at the plate. None of those were even close.
