Don't like the attempted sac bunt off a 4 pitch walk. Good piece of hitting with 2 strikes though.

I hope Randolph can prove me wrong here but I lack confidence in him right here.

And then Britton shows why his average is .176. With the bottom two hitters coming up, why bunt?

Man, we can sure waste some scoring opportunities. You could tell Britton, after the count went to 2-2 was only looking for the walk. Only thing that explains how you don't swing at that pitch he took looking.

Sac bunting early is frigging stupid. For the amount it helps you get one run, it takes you out of a big inning. There is literally no point to it. 2 on no outs -- and we take ourselves right out of an inning again.

I'd love for someone to ask about their thought process on that -- based on the sabermetric realities of college ball...

I hate it when we bunt early in the game against a pitcher who's struggling- we need to attack him. And then bad ABs by Randolph and Britton.

I agree Engie especially since we were depending on Randolph and Britton to bring them home. It would be different if the top of the order was getting them home.

I agree, with the 8 and 9 hitters coming up there is no reason to give away an out.

never understood how someone can take that...I played from the time I 3 until I finished juco- and I can say I never took an inside fastball for strike 3. Not once

what the crap was wrong with that pitch???

Agreed that we dont question things in baseball to the coaches like other sports. Cohen never gets challenged it seems.

Yeah, I think I struck out a half dozen times looking period... maybe less. I was always way more likely to swing at a ball than to take a strike...

Of course, I was taught a 2 strike approach at the plate as well -- to spread out, choke up, and put it in play. Something Cohen rejects in the traditional sense...

I blame Cohen for the approach. Continued opportunities to bash. 26 in SEC play to be exact with 6 successful outcomes. I will never forget the mismanagement of that final game.
