Even if he's at 40 we're behind. Not even considering the defensive liability.

Unfortunately my concerns going into this season came true. I was not impressed with any of these portal players and we lost almost our entire team to the portal. Add to that Bartlett apparently not being in shape just really limits our options from a freshman level. Achor was a locker room problem at KSU. I think alot of people saw Hubbard back and assumed we would be a tourney team again, but this team seems like Hubbard, young freshman and players from mid major conferences not ready for power 5 play
They finally call the moving screen. I swear they've set a moving screen 20 times tonight
26 points off 24 turnovers. Game and match.
Jans somehow made us worse offensively AND defensively.
I will say that Iowa State is really good.
Going to be a long season if this is the best we have
We dont have a pg, dont have athletic wings that can shoot or create and dont have any quality bigs. Hubbard is not a pg or long enough to be a 2. Great talent but you have to surround him with good pieces. And Jans did not
I do think the season is largely dependent on Epps.
He avg'd 9.5 at Illinois as a freshman. Put up 18 as a sophomore at Georgetown, but that dropped to 13 last year. We need him around 12 this season
Other than Hubbard we dont have a guy you can put the ball in his hands and tell him to go get a bucket. I was hoping Mcghee could be that for us
My son and I got to go to the UNA game with our friend. I knew when Jones Jr. came out as a starter that this team was in trouble. He is an energy and maybe even a sixth or seventh guy off the bench. He is by no means a SEC starter. We basically have Hubbard who can't help his height and is a liability on defense, and no established players who came back. This is Hubbard and the portal. Maybe Jans can make it work. It's just the second game but 25 or so turnovers is really concerning. Does anyone know why Epps didn't play?
It?s season 4 for Jans and we?ve been a bubble team basically every year. I get it can be worse (I was a student during the Rick Ray years) but it?s frustrating to be in year 4 and feel like the needle isn?t continue to move forward.
Chris Jans = Dan Mullen. Brought us out of being a SEC bottom dweller but couldn?t move past middle of the pack.
Even if he plays and drops 15, we still lose by a lot. And maybe his point play helps with the turnovers but we still lose. Just have to scrub this one and hope this overall performance is a one off and we have a lot more to show. What's concerning is we saw some of the same issues from the past.
People! People! Baseball starts in February.
If you haven?t figured out by now that is our only hope for a successful program in the SEC, I just don?t know what to tell you.
All you baseball haters need to get on board the train before it leaves the station!
Just to warn you though. Not only does State play in the toughest conference in football and basketball, our teams also play in the toughest conference in Baseball where ?IT JUST MEANS MORE!?
So when we start 2-7 in SEC games, don?t freak out. State will find a way to finish 14-16 and make a Regional!
Hell State!
Go Bulldogs!
Yea!!
My goals for our programs are the following...
Football 6-8 wins
MBK tourney team, but need a win in NCAA soon.
Baseball CWS
We only fund baseball at a level to really compete in the sec
