So to the shock of ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, he is the same hitter. Eventually some will realize that Missouri could not beat some HS teams in this state and with how they pitched last weekend, they are some JV teams who would have dog walked them.
Just put last weekend out of your minds. Pretend that it did not happen.
Going to single elimination made this meaningless. If you do not have a day off there is no point in going. We will be much better next weekend
I dont buy that. Im not saying we are going to Omaha but there is a difference and it needed to be done even if we lost out. You cant sit there and say that if Lemon is here we come back after losing to OM In the first game and clutching vs UK. No reason or evidence to support that
Not saying that we did not need to make a change, one should have been made in 2022 IMO. And maybe for the Kentucky series you might be correct, but Ole Miss beat Ole Miss in game 3. They had first and third with no outs and just pissed the game away. I still think we find a way in with Lemonis, but glad we made the move so we would not have a decision to keep him that we would be contemplating right now.
I was just starting to half-way reinvest in a State sports team. Glad this happened to snap me out of it. On to vacations and time with family. Peace.
I just don’t understand how we can play so badly!
Could not agree with you more. Winning feels great. However, winning blinds people to issues. The issues were still there. The teams we played were just garbage for the most part. We are significantly missing in talent in several areas. Changing coaches may have won us 2 or 3 more games than we would have otherwise, but the end result will be the same. It may have been the difference in getting into a regional vs. not, but that's as far as this team's talent will take it this year.
Welp glad that's over with
Agreed. Now onto the Regionals. If I had to guess we will be sent to an ACC school or be sent West. I think there is a small chance we end up in Ft Worth but we have been sent to an ACC regional all but 3 times this century if we did not host. I would look for that trend to continue.
The entire site field is seeded. The higher seeded site gets the Super in that case.
Generally it will go to the two seed that came out of the higher ranked regional. For example, if we are the 3 and we come out of the 14th ranked regional host site and the 3 opposite of us comes out of the number 3 ranked host site they will host. It would have worked to our advantage in 18 but the NCAA said our stadium was still a construction site so they gave it to Vandy.
Much better might be a stretch. We?d be a low 2 seed so the only chance of hosting is to have the opposite 3 or 4 seed advance out of their regional. Maybe there is another couple of 2 seeds ranked behind us as well. Or we?d be a high 3 seed in which case we would still need the 3 or 4 seed to advance out of the opposite regional.
Unless I?m completely misunderstanding how the hosting rankings work
Was this our first time to be shut out this season?
No need to throw Pico they said. It'll be fine they said.
Did he ask for the ball?
Yeah that'll all make us feel better. *****
Make the announcement so we can clear the rest of this cut rate staff out now.
In NCAA college baseball's super regional round, the team with the higher national seed typically hosts the best-of-three series against the other team. If both teams are regional seeds but not national seeds, the higher regional seed hosts. If both are equal seeds, they will bid for hosting rights based on criteria like facility quality and revenue potential.
The crazy issue was Arkansas hosting National seed Missouri State because a minor league team owns the MOState stadium. The minor league team in question seem like ass holes for not working out a DH of College and Minor games. Would have a bumper weekend of concessions, parking passes, and hotels.
