Come on man, you could have made that comment without the "buffoon" part. This time is a time for healing and coming together to celebrate the man Leach was

If Spurrier does well in the bowl it will be ages to pick someone else. If you can get Riley or Littrell you jump on it. Nothing will be decided till after Jan 2. Spurrier deserves the bowl game at the bare minimum. He is a good dude and has done a great job for us and Leach for a long time. The knock on him is going to be can he handle the knowledge of the entire offense
I replied to you once where you made a coach's death about you. You were being a egotistical idiot and deserved some ridicule.
But yea equate the post where you being a shitbird, me calling you out to the post where you even admit i made a good post and you take an unnecessary jab. Notice in both instances you're the first one with shitty character traits here.
Some day you'll be able to do some self reflection. Until then, I hear little caeser's in Dubuque, Iowa needs a shakerboarder.
I thought it was already big of him to come back on twitter and say his condolences for Leach. Said even family sometimes have arguments and seemed remorseful. My wife taught him when he was younger and he?s a good kid and has a good family I believe. Just made an emotional, rash mistake on twitter. It doesn?t make him a bad kid and so far his track record says that. I believe twitter was the outlier.
Wait... you mean to tell me a coach might leave?!?! No way **
I don't understand the Spurrier love. Seems like a good dude, but if his last name wasn't Spurrier, some of y'all wouldn't be going nuts for him. Mason Miller is more qualified to run the offense, but I hope we go with an outside hire. Arnett being a first year head coach will need a solid coordinator to help him. Littrell or Hatcher would do.
I'm not too worried about that. Harmon can bulk up and it will get him on the field more and we have a walk-on from Hinds coming in. All we need is one more dude from the portal and we should be Ok there. H-Back is a role position anyway so we'll probably be able to find a decent grad transfer or a JUCO guy to fill in that role.
If Miller was a candidate then why isn't he or Hollinghead calling the plays? I know only one guy can call the plays. I also don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that we make Spurrier or Hollinghead the passing game coordinator and Miller the run game coordinator and have co-OC.
At any rate it doesn't sound like anything is set in stone at this point.
The thing to remember is we have a lot of assistants that have been with Leach since Washington State and some go back as far as his Texas Tech or Valdosta State days. They were super loyal to Leach, but Arnett is not Leach. Not saying they dislike Arnett, but they may be ready for a new opportunity elsewhere now that their mentor is gone.
Point being, our staff retention under Leach was amazing from year to year. Like abnormally good. Don?t be shocked if you see more movement now that Leach is no longer with us.
My favorite was Littrell for OC, but after I heard the way Hatcher explained his offense, a basketball on grass mentality, I think I [refer him over Littrell, but I think either would be fine. It takes that high tempo offense to compete with the Bama's. I just don''t see Arnett giving the OC position to an unproven WR coach. If we didn't have the money then that would make more sense. This OC hire is what will make or break Artnett. I think we also need a well known OC to attract the receivers, and the skill players we want to get. Moving Brock to DC makes sense to me though.
I think passing game coordinator and run game coordinator has 0% possibility concerning this upcoming hire. I hope Arnett finds a spot for Hollingshead though ( I bet he does), because he is an upcoming coach with a lot of potential, and involved heavily in our recruiting.
I don't understand why it is so important to hand the ball to the running back where he gains 3 or 4 yards as opposed to throwing it to him in space where he may have some running room.
I can see where a fast mobile quarterback may be able to keep plays alive longer so the ball can be thrown further down field though. Leach believed in repetition and he invested a lot of them in the first string quarterback. He probably didn't want his QB do run too much and get hurt. Notice the SC QB got hurt and it probably cost them the game against Utah. I think the LSU QB got hurt before or during the championship game too.
Anyway, I believe the offensive line is a big key to Will's success and Leach was slowly building it to where he wanted it with his type of players. It can take a few years to build your OL with the depth you need.
I like the scheme but that's my opinion.
I really enjoy reading the different viewpoints on this board though.
