The research is sketchy because we don't have decades of data to study. All studies agree universely that inhaling any type of smoke damages your lungs. Period. That is not indisputable. What they all do admit however is that it has the same amount and type of carcinogens and toxins as cigarettes. In second hand smoke it is identical if not more than directly inhaling and is major concern. Also on average the smoke is kept in the lungs a lot longer from marijuana use than cigarettes. It also attacks the immune system which scientists believes is causing concerning amounts of cancer in people who smoke both regular. One study demonstrated a doubling in lung cancer for male marijuana smokers who also used tobacco (men who smoked the same amount, the risk of lung cancer was twice as high for men who also used marijuana.) Another study found that long-term use of marijuana increased the risk of lung cancer in young adults (55 and under), with the risk increasing in proportion to the amount of marijuana smoked. But like I said there are many inconclusive results that have scientists scrambling to get more definite answers.
hitting a bong? Well, remember the Rev's response? "We already knew about it, yada, yada, yada"......I swear there is not a more corrupt culture in the whole damn NCAA and lead by a demagogue.

"Chad came here wanting to rewrite his story, and I have witnessed him do that to a large extent," Freeze said. "It is not the ending we wanted. It’s not the last chapter that we wanted to write, but life has a way of doing that. I have watched him, I have been with him daily, and he’s changed for the better." Coach Hugh Freeze
It was viral. The CL didn't break shit. They never break bad news on OM. I challenge everyone to find a bad news story that was first reported by the CL. I can promise you every single bad news nugget they've covered since Freeze took over was leaked elsewhere before it hit the CL.
Actually Harvard released a study last year on vapor chemicals and they found that many have as much carcinogen, Propylene glyco, diacetyl, etc. and some case more chemicals than cigarettes. They were also cautioning that many of the vapor companies claims about the amount or any amount of the chemicals in their products were false.
The main issue that the CDC and others are looking at with edibles is the amount of THC in some of the products purchased or overconsumption and effecting people's mental state. There are already multiple accidental suicides that followed ingestion or over-ingestion THC products. Colorado man ate one cookie that was to be shareable product and a short time later jumped from his hotel balcony. Now there may be predisposition links as well but the studies are in their infancy.
I assume he was talking about vaporizing marijuana not this new vaping crap that is nothing but chemicals. I am still amazed that people bought into that. Most smokers I know have given up vaping and gone back to cigarettes, which is probably better for them relatively speaking.
Next thing you know is he will be, "flying," out hotel windows.
Ole Miss has thrown Swag out to the wolves. He is no longer under that protective umbrella, as he can't help them win games now. Didn't they do the same thing with DN and RN? If anybody needed help and guidance, they did, but OM let them sink or swim.. Freeze and OM's philosophy is not what have you done for us, but what are you doing for us right now. The name of the game is just win. So he can say all he wants about wanting to help these young men to succeed in life, but it is ludricous.
This.. It's pure THC...Quote:

I don't believe medical marijuana use is the answer due to the fact that it is a mind altering drug, so patients who believe its helping them are not in the right state of mind. As a police officer I have worked many accidents, including deaths because someone was under the influence of marijuana. Sorry for the semi political post. Hail State
My aunt would have probably died if she didn't get some "gummy bears" from my sister who lived somewhere it is legal. Anyone that doesn't think Medical marijuana doesn't help hasn't been around someone that needed it. I have never smoked or eaten it but Medical marijuana is a problem because it would cut into Big Pharmaceutical companies profits if people can grow their own medicine. It is far less damaging to your body than any other pain killer. It doesn't damage your pain receptors like morphine or oxycodone.
Now for recreational users, I read a study saying that people were growing stronger strains than there used to be. This is causing more issues because it might be stronger than you expected. That doesn't even consider that people lace other substances in with it. Just like popping a Xanax and drinking a beer. It will mess you up if you try to drink like normal.
Was going to comment with my opinion on all this, but then I remembered I'm here for the sports.
