Not really. I think Riley has the potential to eventually be a SEC weekend starter. I'm not sure that was ever an option for Thigpen. Riley is a better prospect as a hitter as well.

Think more like Stephen Head.

I watched Thiggy many times. You're right Todd, Bobby didn't have the stuff to start and he was not a great bat. His legend is greater than his talent. And about that 1985 college world series...well.....He wasn't going to hit even if he played in the national league.
