He doesn?t strike out very often. He works a pitcher. He just figures out how to get on base. Hit, walk, hit by pitch, just get on base. Another thing is that he is content to hit 9th. He will play wherever you put him and give you his best effort without bitching.

Not necessarily. Plenty of guys are great at times but choke in huge moments. Calvin Schiraldi for example
