I've seen this a ton on here and other boards, Rick is done with college basketball. He doesn't want to do it anymore. He doesn't want to be a GM, an asst, etc. He grinded for close to 40 years in the profession. He's tired.

Well being that we didn't appear but once from 2012-2021, just making it was a big part of our pitch to him. He's now gotten that part established and we need to take the next step.
Look, we screwed up this year in evaluations. I think that's clear to anyone. We got worse at the 4 and 5, and although I think we'll be better by the end of the year, we got worse at the 3.
We failed to replace Nwoko, Murphy, and the Kugel/Harris/Melendez position. I think King Grace will end up being better than any of those were by the end of the year, but not replacing Murphy and Nwoko is what sunk us. Epps has actually been pretty good for us and Hubbard, although he is in a massive slump, has been really good.
As much as we ended up spending, should have just paid the 2MM for Murphy
Yes the program took the step. The question has to be - was that step because of Jans or the money? My gut says it's the money. Y4 of Hubbard next year - is it going to be any better? Do we fire midway and lose baby Dampier? Tough things we have to think about.
Rula and Damp are close. We wont lose his son over money. So what Damp feels like we have going on at State will be the driving factor
