I'm glad we seem to be trending better, moving up in the rankings, but is it fools gold? We have a 5 star (awesome) but one 4 star? Everything else is just 3 stars. I mean even South Carolina has nine 4 stars. Point being, our average player signed, 95% of the class, is (ranking wise) just that, average.

Heck yeah! We evaluated him and had him well before he blew up. Our process is good, and with the influx of funds, should have the opportunity to get even better.

Point is this is the making of a great recruiting season. We have 1 5 star and 2 4 stars so far. Plus the bulk of our money will go to the portal.

Trending better no doubt, but we've had classes where we signed double digit 4 stars. Hopefully we can flip someone else today. And yeah, portal is where it's going to count for next season.

The portal will be where we live from here out. MS ST fans need to adjust to the reality of NIL. We will take the best we can get out of HS and focus on ready players while building the rookies.

Speaking of rankings, how can Rivals have any real data on the average NIL deal per player as seen here

Exactly. It's a different approach now. Look at the fall of Clemson. Last year the 28th ranked class and the 83rd in transfer. Year before, zero from the portal. Dabo woke up!
