Why are me and you always up at this time of the night. Two old dudes. Lol

Well, yeah probably. Here is the thing I hope everyone can remember...... our OL and DL are the real issues.
Our DL is 100% a non-factor. They might as well put 3 kickers out there to play on the DL. They get zero pressure. They make zero tackles. They actually get pushed backwards into the linebackers and make them less effective. Hence why our safeties have to make literally every single tackle on a running back. Just like last year.
And I don't care if you have Jesus H Christ back there running the offense. If the OL cannot block consistently, there is no offense you can run that will be successful. The passing game evaporates because on every single snap, there are 2 different OL that just completely whiffs on a block. They must be blind because they never see a blitzer and they never see a stunt. So you cannot comfortably sit back there and throw the ball. And they really suck at run blocking. They have the opposite of a mean streak. Its almost like, in peewee football the linemen not understanding the strategy of the game. Its almost like they don't understand that all they have to do is time up some blocks to create a small hole for our running backs to cut through. Hard to do when the defense knows they get all the pressure they need with 3 or 4 rushers and they can all sit back on routes all day long.
Stop with this QB crap, or running back crap. It's the OL and DL. End of story.
Edited to add..... We need to put Evans or Guyton back there to return kickoffs and stop being a ***** about it. We need hidden yards.
Word!! Also and this is for the "posters in the Know" does MSU have any Corporate Sponsors and I mean ones that put real money into the program? Listening to Borky last night/morning and he was talking about partnerships OM has with Real Tree and now AFLAC. Does MSU partner with anybody?
Many things can be true at once. OL not been great all year but D has been good till last two games - they have quit. We were running the ball good till OL and RB injuries. Shapen was OK early in year but gotten worse - yes some is tied to OL but KT has played behind that same line and produced. They can't pin their ears back with him in there. Coaching has lost us 3 games period.
My post you responded to said nothing about above, you brought all that up.
We had #1 D in 18 and lost 5 games so was OL worst in football history? No, all parts of the team contribute to winning. I have always said though control the LOS and you'll win most of time but you can't be inept in all other areas either.
I would be absolutely shocked if Shapen doesnt start.
I heard Sunday night and a lot of Monday that the self scout was not kind to the offensive staff. Said Lebby was there pretty late Sunday night and they are trying to formulate something for Kamario as to not just let Golding tee off and dare Kamario to throw it deep every play. I think that is the concern for the staff. Can Kamario hit 2-3 of those deep throws early to back OM off and open up the quick game and the run game.
Lebby has about as much chance of a 2009 Battle for the Golden Egg moment as I do of dating Sydney Sweeney. I watched that 09 team and this team. Let me tell you, it was obvious how well coached that team was. We were Tyson Lee not pitching to Dixon and the refs taking the Houston game from us from being 6-5 going into that game.
No head scratching coaching decisions cost us games. It was purely lack of talent at QB and depth in general. When Mullen won in 09, while a surprise, it wasn't a fluke. We thought we had a chance.
Hope like hell I'm wrong and Lebby pulls off the upset. I'd take my crow deep fried and enjoy every bite of it. Of all years, beating that lot would be especially sweet this year. But I don't see it. We're not well coached. A blind man can see it.
Dan handed it off to Dixon on 1st down and 2nd down. On 3rd down, he called the jump pass and the WR was wide open, but Lee didn't get the ball to him. On 4th down, it was an option and again the TD was there if Lee had pitched it to Dixon.
I have no qualms about how Mullen called that series.
I just think if you are waiting on Lebby to change you are going to be waiting a while
Thanks to the pause and rewind button, I was behind and not watching live. I had a friend text me and congratulated me on beating LSU. So imagine going through that agonizing series “thinking” we scored when we actually didn’t! Later when I asked him about the text he said he just assumed that we would score from the 1 yard line.
Hard for for Lee, a 5'9", at best, QB, to see over a SEC DL and this is right down there with our 6'2" (?), QB throwing a possible game changing interception to a 6'5" 320 lb NG that he said after the game that he didn't see drop back in coverage for FL. Lebby will never be as successful as Dan in his career at State and yes, the game has changed. Upset OM!
