That was actually a great defensive series overall for us?literally the ONLY person who could have caught that ball was a 6?7? 250 lb WR who also got away with a blatantly obvious push off in our DB.

The times we call deep play action surprises me. 2&5 is where I would go deep after 3 straight hand offs
He’s so-so at it. I think that’s why we only see “big plays” because he’s not so great at reading those short and mid level passes. He can hit an open WR running a go route about 60% of the time but he’s just as likely to throw a pick or incompletion with something under 15 yards. That’s what Kirby is doing. Forcing Shapen to read secondary coverage and he can’t and we don’t have the oline or rb speed to beat them on the ground even if they just rush 4-5.Quote:
