Bigfoot won the regional final

I look forward to the day where I don't have to hear about "regional finals" ever again
The people that cover college baseball for a living mentioned it yesterday. Maybe some of our fans will be literate enough one day to understand it
They mentioned it because it makes coaches feel better about their season ending. It sounds better to say they got bounced in the Regional Final than to say they got bounced in the Regionals. These guys are going to stick up for the coaches because they know these coaches. They don't really have an allegiance to one program. We do.
I mean when we won Regionals in 16,17,18,19, and 21 we didn't put our press releases saying we beat La Tech, USM, Oklahoma, Miami, and Campbell in the Regional Finals. We said we won the Starkville/Hattiesburg/Tallahassee/Starkville/Starkville Regional. It's only called a Regional Final when you lose to make yourself feel better about losing.
Correcto.
"Regional Final" wasn't a thing until Lemonis and his BFF started pushing it out at the end of last year to make everyone feel better about getting bounced by Virginia. Does the 4 seed who goes 0-2 get to say, "Hey it's okay, we're Regional Quarterfinalists"?
Someone needs to tell Kyle Peterson that Lemons was coaching during the collapse to Florida the other weekend when he was in Starkville. For the Run Rule game and he saw two Relief pitchers give-up 12 runs, 9 hits, and 3 walks without a single-out on consecutive games.
By the way, not to a Top-5 National Seed Florida team, a 14th place Florida team. At Home.
Kyle must think that Lemons was the one sending food to the broadcast booth.
Things that Lemons can look back and regret:
(1) If he had signed Paul Skeens in 2022 ... Given $250K to the Bus Driver, to NIL Paul Skeens for a Party Bus business to and from the LFL and Junction.
(2) Fired Fox after 2022, not because Sims got injured but because Fristoe, Tepper, Stinnett, Cade and KC Hunt were not developed to their tremendous potential. Nearly all Drafted pitchers.
(3) If he had signed Aiva Arquette in 2024 ... lost to Oregon State, wow
(3) Signed the big boy from Samford in 2021 ... Sonny DiChiara ... decided that Luke Handcock was his 1B.
(4) NIL'ed Houston Hardin to stay in 2021 ... Hardin left for $1,500 signing bonus
(5) Could not sell another year to Mershon in 2025 (18th Round!)
(6) He hit on Khal Stephen in the portal, but Ligon, Pruitt, Hungate (injury), Walling (atrocity), Gartman (marginal), Davis (one decent year), Dohm (one year as starter) ... never got starting pitching from the portal. Maybe everyone knew Fox was trash, except him.
(7) Recruit Braden Montgomery in 2024, the IQ 200 play was to NIL the Volleyball girlfriend to Starkville.
(8) Letting the MLB-Style batting revolution skip-over Starkville.
(9) The 2021 recruiting class was terrible, Pico was the only star player. The rest was Mizzou level players or clearly fake recruits seeking MLB leverage.
(10) Cheese as his Catching and 3rd Base coach.
His reluctance to embrace the portal immediately and have loyalty to recruits for sure cost him his job
3. The Harding thing wasn't his fault. Cohen and his dumbass crony Lee Van Horn had no clue how to utilize NIL so we had no funds. We had people willing to donate with nowhere to donate.
5. Mershon's NIL deal with 2x what he was offered by the Angels. He wanted to start playing pro ball.
7. We were the best NIL deal by 6 figures for Braden Montgomery. He never wanted to play here. The only people that wanted him here were his parents. He never wanted to play here.
