it'll be this way in the $ec forever. Jans needs what other schools have, better players and depth and be able to sign good free throw shooters. Jans is fine
I'm frustrated with the team, but we just need to stay the course. We have much bigger problems on that campus right now.

I think as a fan base; we are starving for any type of success. We have had a fairly stale, and borderline disastrous past few years in the major sports. We need something positive to happen to re-energize the school.

A win at Ole Miss will make us all feel better, but right now it just seems like we've lost whatever we had going early in the year.
What we had going early in the year was not playing top 25 teams outside of Memphis. Then we started playing top 15 teams and so we started losing games. We are still beating the non top 25 teams, we just can't beat the top half of the conference that is ranked.Quote:

Get to the tournament and let the chips fall where they may. This schedule is going to help us come tournament time. I've said this for 20+ years, no one gives a flying 17 what you do in January and February. It's all about March. JUST GET IN THE TOURNAMENT.
Also, we're acting like making the tournament is a letdown. If Jans gets to the tournament, he will tie Richard Williams for second most appearances as a coach and only be 3 behind Rick Stansbury. Some of the fanbase has to stop this thinking that because we won some division championships when 4 of the 6 teams in our division didn't give a 17 about basketball that we're a blue blood. We're not. It's kind of like baseball, we gave some sort of crap when no one else did.
Another chance to make a statement win on the road tomorrow as OM is now #19 and we have dropped to #22. Can Jans make changes needed on both "O" and "D" and get this much needed win?
