2016 MSU Football Recruiting Thread

I've noticed the resentment toward CDM about neglecting recruiting because of looking for a new gig (after we bumped his salary waaaay up). Now is not the time for that discussion, but a week from today will be.

I think this year has likely been the most unpredictable recruiting year in recent memory. Many inside sources have changed their tune on our chances with multiple guys since December. Its also not a coincidence multiple posters on different message boards (who presumably don't know each other personally) all started coming out with negative outlooks on our remaining prospects right around the same time earlier this week. Truth is, there are in fact many posters that aren't too far removed from the big money guys who do know what is going on, even if they don't regularly discuss it or pretend to be experts. It takes some reading between the lines to know when information is starting to trickle out from the movers and shakers behind the scenes.

I could be 100% wrong on all these kids but I haven't been told anything to make me panic & stress out about anybody. If I'm wrong I have no problem admitting that but right now I feel good on a strong close.

Well I guess we'll find out how we stand as a program Wednesday. We either continue to progress or take a step backwards while the pricks up north continue to make strides. Yes, I do care what they do as it has bearing on our success. We do recruit from the same grounds.

I get the vibe from IYOK posts that if things were falling apart he would say as much and not attempt to blow sunshine up our asses. He's proven to be knowledgeable about recruiting and if he feels good about a strong close, I like our chances.

Exactly right. IYOK has always been straight forward and frank even when it wasn't great news. One of the few posters on here who doesn't blow sunshine or meltdown, always just brings the facts. His info has always been extremely accurate.

Supposedly he's in some sort of tourney or all-star game and can't visit this weekend. Not sure how that's going to work out. Maybe we should just tell him we have the grove and the world's most beautiful campus. That should do it. No visit needed.

I feel good about it. Really good. If I am wrong I will come here Wednesday and say I am wrong. Won't take about fluids, last minute changes, but outs, or fixed elections. Fair enough?

Rumor on Bama boards that Knott is in Tuscaloosa today. Apparently was there yesterday and may be there a good bit today. No idea if true, just passing along what Im being told by a Bama friend. I have no idea where this Knott to the bears talk is coming from, but Im hearing that is pure smoke that rebel site people are putting out there.

isn't he visiting the "big party" this weekend in Oxford? If so that is where all this crap is coming from.....These guys making predictions realize that OM is going to go all out for these guys this weekend so they are all placing their bets on OM. Might see some changes in CBs Monday or Tuesday.

Ole Miss media has successfully stirred the pot and MSU fans did what they hoped and melted down. I don't understand how mid week we all the sudden aren't in the running for anyone anymore. Again, could end up being wrong, but just sounds like a bunch of smoke to me.

My friend is his neighbor in Gluckstadt & she has talked to him & his mom/family. It's b/w us & Bama. "He's very torn about where he's going" were her exact words via text. But Ole Siss wasn't even in the discussion. Don't shoot the messenger. I know my source may not be credible & I may be crucified for even saying it.
