I was their pitcher I'd just throw to the other batters box all night, this idiot ump is giving it to him for some reason

This is not on him. The ump is expanding the outside at least 4" on him.
He needs to crowd the plate. No doubt about it.
They have given us most of what we have. We just aren't hitting the ball. If we had gotten a big inning there we could have avoided using Sims. Hopefully we still can.
