I've seen some catchers do way worse (Skelton). But you're right he's definitely pushed the issue on a few pitches and most umpires don't like it at all.

Cole gordon has turned the corner. We really need to sell him on staying. He and small are our 2 biggest recruits imo

That's fine with me. I just don't think people realize how little a 1st base coach does in college baseball (or even high school for that matter. There's been one situation this year where people where bitching about the lack of a first base coach and I thought that they had a legitimate point.
