Yeah, I know about the studies, and that's probably true with a baseball thrown by a human. If a machine did it with enough spin, it might happen. I don't know about actually rising, but it can slow the rate of descent.....at least a little. That can make it appear to rise. I tend to agree that it would be next to impossible to generate enough loft to overcome downward trajectory and gravity on an overhand thrown ball.Quote:
