Yeah. Because QB's "taking lumps" has worked so well for us in the past. I remember when we did that with Dak- oh wait no we didn't.

KT can't read a defense period. Not as well as Shapen at this point. Shapen gives us a much better chance to win. Yes, Shapen's pocket awareness sucks. His offensive line also sucked tonight. His receivers and tight ends sucked too for the most part. His pick six was because of a TE who ****s up majorly at least once every game tipped the pass he should have caught.

Right now KT is Mike Wright with actual upside and without that stupid hat he used to wear.

KT wouldn't have done worse. Shapen spotted them 14 points and couldn't make the plays he wanted with his feet. Shapen isn't throwing anyone open and is only throwing to wide open guys. Lebby does a fabulous jobs of putting defenses into a crisis and man coverage. I honestly think KT would produce similar results with this scheme.

So when a team blows coverage he has the wherewithal to take advantage of the mistake. Congrats. He is a FBS QB. No one is saying that RIGHT NOW Shapen is not the better QB. But if you are going to win 5 anyways, you are not going to the playoffs, and you have what most believe to be the QB of the future right there you take your lumps and play him. He is going to make some mistakes? Yep. Is he going to be perfect? Nope. But he will not take away anything from the offense and he gives you a legit dual threat guy.

Shapen is just streaky. He might get hot next week for all we know. Playing KT right now would be a bad idea. We need to put some kind of simple pass plays in for him. We can't just run the ball every time and win.

It is deep ball or check down for Shapen. He was 18/29 for 180 yds today. And if you take away the one deep ball to Ayden he is 17/28 for 131.

Blown coverage against the fastest guy in football. The definition of perspective.

What happened? Did we win?

We are still a work in progress. Much improved and so is our coaching stuff. Yes we made mistakes but big thing is keep recruiting and get some talent.

Positive was we didn’t quit, negative we looked really tired the last 5minutes of the regulation. Injuries played a part of us losing tonight.

doesn't make sense with where we are. We HAVE to get to a bowl this year after starting 4-0. We HAVE to be competitive in all our games and put points on the board so we can get back in the portal and recruiting game. Putting KT in there to "learn" as a true freshman doesn't get it done.
