Yeah and the bats. We had such grinder at bats to force walks and elevated pitch counts. Stranded a ton of runners, but got plenty in too.

I'm gonna be honest I think Bednar goes at least 6 and shuts em down. He challenges hitters and even if he doesn't have his best fb his slider is really tough and his change up has been good too. He'll shut em down because he won't walk many and they won't string enough hits off him to score much if any. JMHO

ETA but if we get 4 shutdown innings we'll be in great shape

Gave up 5 to Arizona in 5.2, but only 3 earned.

But he also hasn't pitched on this little rest this year and threw 110 last start. And our offense is suddenly gaining all kinds of confidence. We have a good chance to at least get a few on him.
