Yeah just not understanding it. I guess he's playing the just win the next and advance theory.

Yea, but last year we were 14th in the SEC in pitching and by a WIDE margin. Our offense is not very good but not so bad that its obvious we need to make a move. Therefore, I don't see a move being made. Bad part to me is that, for the first half of the year the offense was pretty good. Its really only gone to crap the last month. Pitching has stayed the solid through the year, hitting has gotten worse through the year it seems.
I thought we could certainly be top half of the SEC good this year and never anywhere said different. The ironic thing though is that I thought that because I believed our offense could carry us if we just got marginal improvement from pitching and defense. Truth of the matter has been just the opposite though in that our pitching and defense have been well above average all year while our offense has not been nearly as good as I had hoped.
I guess Hugesack must have shot his wad in the SEC tourney. He hasn't done anything in this regional. Not even one pitiful single to his name.
Yeah. And this time you give him a minimum extension and tell him the reason it's not higher is because of the hitting.
Then you tell him to either hire a hitting analyst or get a new hitting coach and a hitting analyst.
As much as we pay Jake I'm sure we can probably pull Duke's hitting coach and might even save money doing it.
If Auger can go 8 or 9 innings and give us a stress-free game against St. John's, I don't hate our chances with Kohn and Dohm against the back end of Virginia's staff.
Starting Auger is a mistake.
