It's got to be demoralizing for Vandy to go down like this. Last night, our awfulness was contained to one inning, and our bullpen finished strong.

Yes, but you follow MLB closer than I do. I've seen some MLB pitchers struggle in the playoffs on 3 days rest. Bednar is going from 6 days to 3 days. Will he be off tomorrow? That is the question. Need 5 strong innings from him with no walks.

I don't think anyone knows how he'll respond. Im hopeful that he'll be good for 3, maybe 4 innings. I'd bring sims in at that point.

I would definitely bring in Sims after Bednar. I don't care if it's the 3rd inning. But the question is, what will Lemonis do. To be safe, I hope Bednar can go 5. Makes the decision automatic.
