Best chance in a long time for us to win a natty in baseball and we're gonna screw it up again.
Swinging at a first pitch slider is just awful baseball by Foscue.
Playing like a bunch of freshman tonight.
It appears that Omaha experience doesn't matter because we've play like over anxious school children.
The Foscue AB was ridiculously immature.
Well it is shaping up for Mangum to hit a 2 run double next inning.
And that play there removes all doubt. It is not our night.
Fitts' stats this year...
5.57 era
1.60 whip
11.79 h9
6.86 k9
2.57 bb9
Their .250 hitter has come up big twice. Every single hitter in the top of our lineup has come up short tonight.
Butch knew how to pitch us. Knew we'd be overly aggressive at balls off the plate and specifically early in the count. If we'd have told our guys to take first pitch no matter what this game might be 6-3 us by now.
Curse of Cam Newtons daddy$
2 out hits are the difference. Auburn has 2. We have 0. If we had 2 we would be up 5-3 minimum.
Clueless? What a dunce. Its what you do with men on base or 2 out hitting that makes the difference. The only decent ball we've hit with men on base is Westy's and it went right to the outfielder. The others have been pitiful ABs. Heck, we collected some hits in Hoover as well but didn't score much.
That was a good play by Foscue.
Good grief
Auburn?s Fitts seems to be a better pitcher than his brother....
I'm hoping we pinch hit Hatcher next inning. He's been hitting the ball well and may provide a spark for us
This shot is ridiculous tonight. It's Auburn that looks like they been here before. We are are the damn silly rookies that are awe struck at Omaha.
On my he Baseball side, Butch has gone all in with his pen. This is it with Anderson and Greenhill burned. We just gotta get the job done.
I've got to find a new hobby. Watching MSU athletics hoping for success is like watching Old Yeller over and over again hoping the dog dies of old age after a long life
Lol 17 this team.
Time to turn out the lights, the party's over.
