Shouldn't this thread be titled " Zona vs Zima"?
I know some folks have complained about our lineup some or about other stuff but games like this and our game tomorrow are where all of our arms come into play. I like our chances with our depth. Other teams just don't have our kind of depth as has been on display in this postseason
So hopefully this turns us away from starting Sims tomorrow. Arky lost with Kopps starting and now OM is on the ropes. Baseball gods are not happy starting closers apparently?.
I guess their pitching coach teaches them to talk to themselves because that's at least 3 of them that do that
You win the thread.

10-1 now, still batting in the 4th
Don't let up. Their bats can still come back.
Score 20
Problem with starting your closer is that when you need him he is not there.
The difference is when a MLB team starts an opener it's for an inning or two. If Lemonis did that for 2-3 innings with Sims that would make sense.
But honestly we should just start Harding and forget it. Anything else is overthinking.
If he starts Fristoe he should be blasted by the media.
Bianco had to have known this was over when starting Broadway didn't work.
He's probably researching Baton Rouge real estate in the dugout now.*
Arizona about to add another. Man on 3rd with one out.
10-1 Arizona. No idea why he didn't go from 3rd there
This douche isn't talking to himself tonight, lol.
You hate to see it. 12-1
2 out double off that mumblin' prick scores 2 more, lol.
That stupid wall, lol. 1 run off.
Ground rule double, Zona up 11-1
Doesn't matter, lol. 2 run single makes it 13-1.
2 run single!! 13-1 Zona!
Arkansas and Ole Miss actually showed panic by starting closers. Dance with the one that brung ya....Harding tomorrow, followed by Stinnett or Johnson, then Sims.
I will say this, atleast when Ole Miss gets to this spot every year they are dependable in the imploding.
I'm fine starting someone else tomorrow to see if you can steal a few innings, but the game has to be decided with Sims on the mound. Everyone can live with that. If they beat Sims, we sleep well. If tomorrow's game gets decided with Sims on the bench, that's going to be tough pill to swallow
It "might have been the right call", but it was still desperate. As I said earlier in the thread, that only works when your offense shows up and rakes. But they didn't. Ark should be good enough to not only hold NCST, but also score enough, that when the game is wired late, they can bring in their All American closer to slam the door. Hell, even if they had rotated guys to bridge to Kopps until...say...the 4th or 5th, he would've had enough juice by then to still be himself in the 9th. When they needed him the most, he gave up the go ahead HR. It was absolutely desperation, from the #1 team in the country no less. Them exploiting him the way they have would never pan out, and it met it's end in the Supers.
