LOL, didn't make excuses. Stated facts. Hatcher has been really bad. He knows it. Lemonis knows it. But if we are going to do anything in the postseason, Hatcher has to get going.

Hatcher is an albatross and needs to be replaced 2 weeks ago.
There will be a lot of crow to be eaten regarding Josh Hatcher. I've already served up the Rowdey Crow to some of you kneejerks.
U didn’t serve anything to me on Rowdey. He’s a career .300 hitter and I’ve never said anything about replacing him. Hatcher is a completely story
Cumbest is 4/7 in SEC play by the way...
Hatcher is now 1 for his last 19 abs...
I could go play 1B and be as effective as Hatcher. Put any damn body over there. Like I said, Lemonis is hard-headed and we don't have hitting talent. But for goodness sake, try anyone.
Cumbust is hitting .396 right now. Just saying.
I know Clark has been dealing with the health issue and it has taken its toll on him, I’m sure just as much mentally as physically.
But if the kid is healthy enough to play a midweek game , let’s run him out there.
He probably wouldn’t even be here If the draft hadn’t been but 5 rounds last year..
He can’t be any worse..
If it were me, I would start Clark today at 1B and on Sunday let Tanner Allen play 1B and give either Kyte or Cumbest a shot in RF. I know Kyte's success has come against poor competition but I would run him or Cumbest out there.
Hatcher needs multiple days off. When you are doing this poorly, one day doesn't fix much. You need multiple days of focusing only on your swing to correct yourself. He doesn't need a message sent. He's past that right now with his .196 average. He needs help making better contact and seeing the ball better. That's not a one day fix. That's a much longer process. Kid needs a break from the game part of baseball.
An update:
Hatcher: .114, 5 hits, 44 ABs, 10 Ks, 0 BBs
Hancock: .206, 7 hits, 34 ABs, 4 Ks, 7 BBs
Lo Tan: .179, 7 hits, 39 ABs, 12 Ks, 7 BBs
Skinner: .214, 6 hits, 28 ABs, 6 Ks, 4 BBs
Forsythe: .219, 7 hits, 32 ABs, 14 Ks, 1 BB
Over half of our lineup sux rn
Hancock is an odd stat right now though. His average is low but everything else is positive. Has the best QAB of anyone on the team, leads team in SAC Flies both all games and SEC play, tied for lead in RBI’s...all things considered the expectation is his average makes a turn upward.
Rowdey is on a tear. His overall average is up to .294 now.
Facing a veteran lefty today in Owen. He started against us in Omaha in 2019. Good opportunity to get cumbest's right handed bat in the lineup today. Skinner does so many things well though, even if he is hitting only .250, so i doubt we play cumbest in left.
R.Jordan is hot right now.
What I am noticing is that Hatcher, for the most part is making pretty solid contact but is swinging at low pitches, resulting in ground balls which aren?t finding any holes. He needs to manage the low pitches better, either not swing at them if they are a ball or figure out how to lift them a little if they are a strike. Last year, early in the season, TA had a problem with swinging at high pitches and popping them up. Once he started laying off the high pitch, his average sky rocketed. Hatcher seems to have the opposite problem.
The team as a whole doesn?t really hit opposite field very much. I remember Hancock hitting opposite field constantly last year and the year before. He doesn?t seem to do that at all this year. That is why we see so many weak ass ground balls off the ends of bats. I?m ready for the hitting coach to get this straightened out ricky tick.
Hatch will get going when he starts having an oppo approach. He's way too pull side with everything right now
Hatcher now .197 on the year- and only 7 walks... Yet for some reason he's still out there every game.
