LSU is a top 3 job. If they still had Saban they'd be what Alabama has been the last decade.

They have been turned down numerous times already. There is a reason people aren't taking that job. We will see what happens.
Steve seems to think that LSU is the biggest threat remaining. I just can't see O wanting to switch to the 3-3-5. I also don't know how anyone could think going to LSU right now is a smart idea. I mean they have multiple NCAA investigations going on as well as a Title IX investigation. They're going to be hit with LOIC and if the Title IX stuff comes back bad then heads will be rolling in Red Stick.
Arnett is gone. It is all but a done deal with LSU.
I understand wanting to get a bigger gig at a top school, but something is off with Arnett interviewing at some of the places he did. I could see LSU and Texas, but he must want out really bad that it is starting to seem like money isn?t the only motivating factor here.
Charlie Strong isn't coming to MSU. It will probably be another name we haven't heard of.
Arnett turned LSU down.
Hahahahhaaha I know I’m the one who put it out that he was gone but it appears Arnett turned them down and now the same LSU mods that said it was a done deal are saying they didn’t offer. Can you say damage control?
If we hold on to him, pretty big offseason win
Does not make any sense to go to LSU now. We were better than them on D in our first year with a young team. Not to mention he is paid well here, and the biggest position of need on defense is ILB, the spot he coaches. Safeties will be much improved with Peters, Dean, and Purvis being a full go.
Also, LSU has a ton of problems heading their way supposedly
Will Muschamp is quite the great defensive mind but I wonder if he wants a DC job right after being fired as HC
Is Tem Lukabu really on their short list for DC? Did anyone see something when he was coaching here that impressed you?
I think Orgeron is on really thin ice down there, so LSU may be a little gun shy about agreeing to buyouts for coordinators.....and somebody like Steele could possibly command a buyout.
Or it could also be that Orgeron doesn't want him because he knows he's on thin ice and Steele just tried to double cross Malzahn and steal his job.
I'm just speculating, because I don't understand it either.
I think it may have been multiple things. Buyout, pending legal issues but it may just have been a philosophical reason. Ogeron may have been open to running some 3-3-5 but wanting to keep the 4-3 intact as well and Arnett stoood firm and said he wouldn’t agree to that
Any chance LSU looks at Chris Ash? It seems to maybe make sense to me on paper.
