Well yeah they can trade him legally. It who in The hell is going to trade for him when he has no contract after this year?? Nobody. They can either tag him again. Well that's usually a condition of a trade when a player is under the FT (sign a new deal). They will not let him walk as a free agent when teams will line up to bid on him. This is what many experts thought the chiefs would do with Chris Jones this spring. Come on Brett - you are usually sharper than this.
