He's pitched well. 2 runs were on an error that was ruled a hit, a double play ground ball to James, that he threw to first, and a 2-0 fastball with first base open and two outs.

Cumbest needs to be an every day player or not play at all. He needs about 300 more live AB's before he can be counted on.

So this team is not near the solid batting lineup we thought.

And the infield defense is good for a costly error or 2 each game.

And the Ace pitcher is on the shelf.

And don't seem to have a leader on this team yet.

This will be a frustrating season.

Koestler has retired 13 straight. If anything, he's saving our bullpen for the next two games.

I love baseball season. It's a minor sport and I love it when we win, but ain't that fussed if we lose. It's like women's basketball. It's not like it's men's basketball or football, in other words sports that actually matter.

Eh, it’s a road game against a Top 25 team in February. I wouldn’t write this season’s obituary just yet.

Finally a hit! If we would work the count a little bit we might at least eventually get this pitcher out of the game. We swing at anything in the zip code.

Nationally I'm absolutely correct. Women's basketball and baseball are niche sports. Softball gets better tv ratings than college baseball. If you want to ban me for speaking the truth then by all means do so. My point is I actually enjoy them maybe better than I do football and men's basketball because it doesn't crush me if we lose.
