Cole Gordon needs to be our second starter.
If we have any aspirations of winning a Regional, you have to consider letting Self start I'm afraid. I know he hasn't done it, and I'm not saying we should...I'm simply saying that we literally have zero chance at winning more than 1 game going forward. Our luck at pitching ended 3-4 weeks ago, and it ain't coming back. It's start Self or accept that we're done.

Mcquarys stuff is electric. The only way to harness it is to pitch unfortunately. But fortunately we are forced to have him pitch innings for us which should have him ready for next spring. I think we look back in this and it's a look how much he jumped from yr 1 to yr 2. Sucks for right now but we aren't winning a title this yr anyway.
